Terms and conditions

Welcome to Invent Homes. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, showroom, and purchase of goods or services from us. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Pricing and payment
1.1 Prices and VAT: All prices displayed include VAT unless stated otherwise.
1.2 Price changes: Invent Homes reserves the right to change prices at any time, but confirmed orders will not be affected by price changes after payment or deposit.
1.3 Deposit requirements: A minimum deposit of 30% is required for orders placed via our showroom.
1.4 Payment terms: Full payment must be made before delivery or as agreed in writing. Online orders must be paid in full at checkout.
1.5 Special orders and clearance: Full payment is required at the time of ordering for special order items and clearance products.
1.6 Payment methods: Card payments are accepted in-store or by phone (delivery will only be made to the card-registered address). 2. Delivery
2.1 Delivery times: Delivery dates are estimates only and may change due to stock availability or external circumstances.
2.2 Delivery service: Standard delivery is kerbside drop-off only. Drivers are instructed not to enter your property.
2.3 Delivery charges: Additional delivery charges may apply based on order weight, distance, or split shipments and must be paid before dispatch.
2.4 Reporting damage and missing items: Customers must check their order upon receipt and report any visible damage or missing items immediately on delivery or within 24 hours after receipt. Claims after this period cannot be accepted.
2.5 Failed delivery charges: Repeat delivery charges will apply if no one is present to accept delivery or if access issues prevent delivery.
2.6 Collection from store: Customers collecting items in-store must inspect goods before leaving and report any damage or missing items.
2.7 Delivery advice: Invent Homes recommends arranging delivery at least 5 days before installation to allow time for inspection and problem resolution.
2.8 Storage policy: Goods must be delivered or collected within 1 month of the order date unless agreed otherwise. After 2 months, a storage fee of 4% of the order value per month will apply.
3. Cancellation and returns
3.1 Cancellation period: You have 14 days from delivery to cancel your order for online or telephone purchases, unless the item is made to order or a special order. Ex-display products are non-returnable.
3.2 Return conditions: Items must be returned in original packaging and in resalable condition. Items that have been fitted are non-returnable.
3.3 Non-returnable items: Opened shower enclosures, perishable goods, personalised items, and tile orders cannot be returned or cancelled. Customers should confirm required quantities with their installer before purchase.
3.4 Return costs: You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or damaged on delivery. Returned items incur a 25% restocking fee, unless waived in writing, as charged by our manufacturers.
3.5 Special order cancellation: Special order items can only be cancelled within 24 hours of order confirmation and may also be subject to restocking fees if returnable.
4. Faulty or damaged goods
4.1 Inspection on delivery: Please inspect your goods upon delivery and report any damage or missing parts immediately or within 24 hours.
4.2 Evidence for claims: Photographic evidence may be required to support claims of damage or faults.
4.3 Remedies: Invent Homes will repair, replace, or refund faulty goods at our discretion. Refunds are normally processed within 7–14 business days of request approval.
4.4 Installation acceptance: Installation of goods is considered acceptance of their condition. Claims for installation-related faults are not accepted.
4.5 Missing parts reporting: Missing parts must be reported within 30 days of delivery and before installation.
5. Made to order and special items
5.1 Made to order policy: Made to order items are personalised and cannot be cancelled or returned unless faulty.
5.2 Special order terms: Special order items may have different cancellation and return terms and will be clearly identified at purchase.
6. Liability and indemnity
6.1 Transfer of risk: Risk of damage or loss passes to you upon delivery or collection.
6.2 Installation liability: Invent Homes is not liable for damage caused by incorrect installation or misuse.
6.3 Installer responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring installation is carried out by qualified professionals.
6.4 Delays and measurement issues: Invent Homes is not responsible for installation delays caused by late delivery or incorrect measurements.
6.5 Colour and material variations: Natural variations in colour and materials do not constitute faults.
6.6 Electrical products: Electrical items must be installed by qualified electricians to maintain warranty.
6.7 Design disclaimer: Design images are for illustration only. Final installation details and equipment placement must be agreed between you and your installer before work starts.
7. Warranty
Supplier warranties: Some suppliers require warranty registration. Customers must check product paperwork and register promptly to validate their warranty.
8. Data protection and privacy
Your personal information will be handled securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy and only used for order processing and marketing (with your consent).
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales unless you reside in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
10. Promotions and discounts
Promotional offers and discount codes apply only to selected products and cannot be combined with other offers unless stated. They exclude installation services and special orders.
10. Finance terms
Finance options are offered through approved partners subject to affordability checks, minimum spends, and terms provided separately.
